I am writing this sitting in bed listening to the wind and rain outside.
Melbourne’s weather certainly never gets boring. I am hoping for an early
night as I had a huge weekend. It started with our amazing Group Healing
Meditation on Friday night with almost 50 people lying on the floor at The
Pines Learning Centre. It was like a huge slumber
party! This Meditation, led by Nicole Rigato, took us on a 60
minute journey to heal anything preventing us from being open to giving and
receiving love. It was profound!
Saturday was my husband Harry’s birthday but we postponed celebrating that
until Sunday as we had a wedding on Saturday. Talk about opening your
heart to love! This gorgeous young couple are sooo in love it was a joy to be
in there presence. If you have ever wondered why people cry at weddings,
sometimes it’s because that’s just what happens when your heart is open
and you let yourself connect with the importance of love.
I remember a comment I heard many years ago from a new mum about how it felt to
have baby. Not the giving birth part, but the relationship you have with a
baby. She said it was like the protective coating had been peeled from her
heart and the world could really hurt her now. I knew exactly what she
Whether it’s a new baby, or a new spouse, being in love makes you
vulnerable. There is a risk that your heart might be broken. If
we are hurt by a relationship we quickly learn to put that protective
coating back. The problem is that the protection blocks the good feelings
as well as the bad.
Luckily there are many “Simply Natural” ways to heal a broken heart
so you can be fully open to receive and give love. I have worked with a lot of
clients with Hypnotherapy to heal and rewrite old stories. I have healed a few
of my own stories this way. Both Manuela and Brett, our other
Hypnotherapists are able to work with past lives to clear old patterns. Kinesiology
is a briliant way to locate and clear old trauma and hurts. Debbie Rossi, our
Kinesiologist, has only 3 free 15 minute sessions left on Wednesday
this week. Be quick to call us on 9842 7033 to book in with her.
If you’re OK at giving love but need some nurturing yourself then a
Tibetan Peace Massage will give you a sense of deep peace and
wellbeing. All our massage therapists also practice Reiki or energy
healing so there is a dose of love in every massage. In Yoga there are
specific mantras and postures, that Geoff Charles, our Kundalini
Yoga teacher can show you, to heal and open the heart. A private
Sat Nam Rayasan session with Geoff can work magic. During this session he sits
in deep meditation, connecting with your energy. Deep-seated energy blocks can
clear. During a session with Geoff, one of our staff literally felt her heart
chakra become wide open. She missed the rest of the session as she went
into such a deep state of bliss.
And just wait until you experience our Crystal Bed or Sound Healing. We
have a veritable smorgasbord of heart opening choices! Now I think about
it, it seems that that’s our mission at Simply Natural Therapies….
raising the vibration of the planet by opening one heart at a time.
Now, another simple way to heal your heart is to practise
gratitude. Intentionally focussing on feelings of gratitude and
appreciation actually activate the energy of your heart centre
and strengthen the electromagnetic field around your entire body. Not only is
this really good for your health but it allows you to feel and
express love, feeling vulnerable and safe at the same time.
As the energies on the planet shift, and life speeds up, living from the heart
is becoming more and more important. Unless we “do the work” and take
that journey from our head to our heart, life will probably get
more challenging and overwhelming. Studies at the
HeartMath Institute show that the heart responds to events seconds
before the conscious mind is aware of them. It has it’s own wisdom,
intuition and intelligence. It even plays a powerful role in manifesting
and attracting what you want into your life. The bigger your heart field,
the more quickly you manifest what you think about. Now that’s pretty
Anyway….. Speaking of love, I know that most of you LOVED the Choc Chip
Cookies that Michelle baked and brought into the clinic last week. I
promised our Facebook fans the recipe so here it is.
Gluten Free Peanut
Butter Choc Chip Cookie Bites
1¼ cups canned chickpeas, well-rinsed and patted dry with a paper towel
(approx. 400g tin)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ cup + 2 tablespoons (165 grams) natural peanut butter or almond butter – room
temperature. Don’t use regular peanut butter. It will result in oily cookies.
You MUST use natural peanut butter.
¼ cup (80 grams) honey (you can use agave or maple syrup)
1 teaspoon baking powder
a pinch of salt if your peanut butter doesn’t have salt in it
½ cup (90 grams) chocolate chips (use vegan and dairy-free chocolate chips, if
Preheat your oven to 350°F / 175°C. Combine all the ingredients, except for the
chocolate chips, in a food processor and process until very smooth. Make sure
to scrape the sides and the top to get the little chunks of chickpeas and
process again until they’re combined.
Put in the chocolate chips and stir it if you can, or pulse it once or twice.
The mixture will be very thick and sticky.
With wet hands, form into 1½” balls. Place onto baking tray. If you want
them to look more like normal cookies, press down slightly on the balls. They
don’t do much rising. Bake for about 10 minutes.
Enjoy this food for the soul and have a lovely week. Hopefully I will see
you at Everyday
Homeopathy or Understanding
