Coeliac Testing

Coeliac Disease is an autoimmune disorder of the small intestine caused by dietary gluten in genetically predisposed individuals. Coeliac typically manifests as diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, bloating and malabsorption. However many patients with coeliac disease present with non gastrointestinal symptoms. It is vital however, that this disorder is diagnosed as long term complications and risks exist for this condition.

What does this test involve?

The Coeliac Testing involves a serum blood test. The sample will be tested for Transglutaminase IgA & IgG, Gliadin IgA & IgG, Total IgA.
